Mth 428 Partial Differential Equations II

Higher dimensional equations, heat conduction in a disk, vibrating membrane, spherical problems, Bessel and Legendre functions, Green’s functions, Fredholm alternative. Infinite domain problems, Fourier transform solutions, finite difference methods. This is the second course in a sequence of two: Mth 427 and Mth 428 which must be taken in sequence.
