Examines aspects of the development of German political, social, and cultural life during the 19th and 20th centuries. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Hst 458 and may be taken only once for credit. Recommended prerequisites: Hst Hst 103, Hst 358. For Hst 558: graduate standing.
