TA 525 History of Dress I

Historical survey of dress in Western civilization from ancient Egyptian to modern times with emphasis on the aesthetic, cultural, and political expressions of clothing. This is the first course in a sequence of two: TA 525 and TA 526. Course may be taken out of sequence.
