Jpn 421 Readings in Japanese Literature

Reading, analysis, translation, and discussion of representative literary texts. Jpn 420/520 will focus on pre-modern literature, Jpn 421/521 on literature from the Meiji Period to the present. Conducted primarily in Japanese. This is the second course in a sequence of two: Jpn 420 and Jpn 421. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Jpn 521 and may be taken only once for credit.
