ME 455 Finite Element Modeling and Analysis

The finite element method as related to the solution of mechanical design problems including thermal stress analysis. Various element formulations will be discussed, and existing commercial codes will be used to demonstrate modeling and analysis techniques. Also offered for graduate-level credit as ME 555 and may be taken only once for credit.
