BSt 222 The Black Radical Tradition

The Black radical tradition is a rich body of knowledge arising out of liberation movements that sought to understand and fight enslavement, racism, colonialism, and other forms of oppression. It dates to early slave revolts in Africa and crosses continents and centuries including the Civil Rights Movement and Black Lives Matter. This course provides an essential entry point for first- and second-year students to explore the origins and evolution of the Black radical tradition.
