ArH 449 Art History Methods
Seminar for juniors and seniors. Explores major approaches to the study of art history through readings, discussion, and essays. Includes the development of art history as a field and common methodologies such as iconography, gender theory, social art history, and post-modernism and post-structuralism.
Prerequisite
At least three upper-division art history courses. Students must be enrolled in one of the following Fields of Study (Major): Art History (BA/BS), Cultural History of the Arts (BA/BS), or Art History Postbac Certificate.
