The College of Urban and Public Affairs houses the disciplines of urban studies and planning, public administration, criminology & criminal justice, economics, and politics and global affairs under one roof. Just outside the doors of the Urban Center building, our students and faculty combine theory and practice into solutions for the common good. They collaborate with community organizations, governments, and private corporations to imagine original solutions and implement them in real-time. In a state where land-use planning, transportation, affordable housing, waste management, and community engagement are models for the nation, our location and collaborative partnerships with the community provide the perfect laboratory for the college's groundbreaking work.
