WS 346U Genes & Society

Explores the principles of genetics, molecular biology and biotechnology within social and historical context. Emphasis on the ethical issues arising from the intersection of genetics, technology and society, with attention to the role of gender, race and class in the formation and application of scientific knowledge. This is the same course as Bi 346U and may be taken only once for credit.
