ChLa 421 Chicanx/Latinx Counterstorytelling

Counterstorytelling, which is a writing and research method of critical race theory, is a type of storytelling that illuminates the experiences of historically marginalized people while directly challenging dominant ideologies and systems of oppression. This course will expose students to importance of counterstorytelling, as well as provide students with various examples of counterstories. Utilizing and incorporating data and class materials, students will use their experiences, talents, and interests to craft their own counterstories.
