Art 355 Video Installation
Focuses on the creation of artworks that combine video technology with three-dimensional elements such as sculpture, projection, performance, sound, and site-specific installation. Students will study historical and contemporary examples of video installation and create their own works of video installation art.
Prerequisite
Art 103 or
Art 104 or
Art 255 or
Art 257 or
Art 358 or
Art 455 or
Art 457 or permission of instructor. Prior experience in Design courses, Film courses, Photography courses or any courses that cover media art production are good preparation for the class and the instructor will likely allow you into the course if you email them about it. Sculpture and other ART courses are also good preparation for the course.
