Sociology M.A./M.S.
Sociology offers two Master’s degrees: A Non-Thesis Master’s for those seeking a terminal degree and a Master’s with Thesis for those completing a Master’s as part of the Sociology Ph.D.
Requirements for Non-Thesis M.A/M.S.
Candidates for the Non-Thesis Master’s degree must earn a minimum of 45 graduate credits. Students working for the Master of Arts degree must satisfy the language requirement.

Requirements for M.A./M.S. with Thesis
Candidates for the Master’s with Thesis must earn a minimum of 54 graduate credits. Students working for the Master of Arts degree must satisfy the language requirement.

Four 500- or 600-level elective courses, at least eight credits must be in Sociology.
