Soc 544 Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality

A comparative course that examines different societies and studies the constructs of race, ethnicity, and nation, their emergence and evolution, and their contribution to entrenched oppression, social inequality, division, and conflict, including genocidal conflict. Explores the question of how to build and sustain human solidarities and identities that overcome race, ethnic and national oppression.
