CR 432 Power and Conflict Resolution

The dynamics of power and status within conflict scenarios. Analysis of phenomena at the micro (interpersonal, intergroup) and macro (social, political) dimensions of these issues. Relationship to issues of gender, race, culture, leadership and other areas where the phenomena of power and status are at play. Students receive theoretical and practical grounding in these concepts. Course involves reading and writing as well as role plays and simulations. Preparation in communication skills and analysis of complex phenomena expected. This course may not be repeated for credit.
