G 437 Analytical Methods
Fundamentals, applications, and use of analytical methods in the analysis of earth materials. Analytical methods will include optical and Xray methods and introduction to microthermometric analysis, differential thermal analysis, and granulometry. Two lectures; two 2-hour laboratory periods.
Prerequisite
G 312, one year of general physics, radiation safety certification (acceptable as a corequisite).
