Soc 469 Sociology of Aging

A study of social determinants of the human life course, including biological and demographic conditions, age status patterns, age grading, rites of passage, socialization, generational phenomena, and youth and old age movements. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Soc 669 and may be taken only once for credit. Recommended prerequisite: Soc 200.
