Mth 662 Algebraic Graph Theory II

An advanced study of numerical methods with emphasis on theory, economy of computation, and the solution of pathological problems. Topics will typically be chosen from: evaluation of functions, roots of equations, quadrature, ordinary and partial differential equations, integral equations, eigenvalues, construction of approximating functions, orthonomalizing codes, and treatment of singularities. This is the second course in a sequence of three: Mth 651, Mth 652, and Mth 653 which must be taken in sequence. Recommended prerequisite: Mth 453/553.
