Overview of solar energy and its applications. Solar resources, solar economics, collector technology, solar thermal systems, power generation, industrial applications, thermal storage, photovoltaics, and design of systems for effective utilization of solar energy. Also offered for graduate-level credit as ME 526 and may be taken only once for credit.
