JSt 380 The Holocaust

An introduction to the Nazi-planned and -executed genocide of European Jewry known as the Holocaust. Topics includes the German and European contexts for the rise of Nazism; antisemitism and its links to Nazi ideology and policy; European Jewry in the interwar period; the "Final Solution"; resistance and collaboration. This is the same course as Hst 380 and may be taken only once for credit.
