Bi 576 Population Ecology

Course is designed to explore methods to describe population growth and dynamics of plants and animals. The theoretical foundation for the evolution of life histories will be explored, along with analysis of the influence of interspecific interactions on population processes. Larger landscape-level questions will be addressed by examining populations from the framework of source-sink dynamics, ecological traps, and metapopulations. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Bi 476 and may be taken only once for credit.
