Exploration of major developments in the art world from the late 20th century. Origins of contemporary art, the transition from Modernism to Post-Modernism, important themes in contemporary art, and issues facing the practicing artist of today, in the US and globally. Open to Non-majors. Suggested preparation: ArH 491, ArH 492 and ArH 493.
