Relation between CLEP,Advanced Placement (AP), and International Baccalaureate (IP) Programs

Students cannot acquire duplicate credit through CLEP in the subjects for which they have acquired AP or IB credit. CLEP credit may be a good alternative for students who come from high schools not offering AP or IB programs.
