PS 519 Political Reform

Examines the concerns that drive the demand for political reform in America, and how specific reform proposals may affect the political system. The first part of the course focuses on a variety of proposals to open up the electoral system and to improve representation. The second part examines various reforms that are designed to make the government work more effectively and efficiently. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as PS 419 and may be taken only once for credit.
