JSt 379 History of Zionism

Zionism as ideology and practice in context of Jewish and European history. Includes society and culture Zionism created under the British mandate of Palestine, roots of the Arab-Jewish conflict in this context, and impact on Jewish life and politics in Eastern and Central Europe and the United States.This is the same course as Hst 379 and may be taken only once for credit.
