Hst 542 Race, Class and Gender in the American West

Examines the trans-Mississippi West as a cultural meeting ground and explores the racial, class, and gender implications of new migrations to the region. Particular attention will be placed on the arid West and human responses to landscape. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Hst 442 and may be taken only once for credit.
