Geog 525 Field Methods in Human Geography

Field observation, description, and analysis in human geography. Students explore landscapes in Portland metropolitan region through a series of exercises including sampling techniques, field mapping, and photography supplemented by data collection from census records, tax records, historic maps and photographs, and published accounts about places. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Geog 425 and may be taken only once for credit.
