Geog 322U Alpine Environments

Examines the geoecology of high elevation environments in tropical, mid-latitude, and high altitude regions with a special emphasis on the alpine environment of the Pacific Northwest. The primary objective is to promote understanding of the features and processes found in alpine areas including their susceptibility to human alteration. Topics include an examination of high elevation weather and climate, geomorphology, soils, and vegetation.
