ESM 485 Ecology and Management of Bio-Invasions

Invasive, or nonindigenous, species present us with global ecological and economic problems and have been ranked as second only to habitat destruction as a threat to our natural areas and native species. These invasive species are a concern because they restructure ecosystems, affect the evolutionary trajectory of native species, lead to the extinction of species, and impact local industries. Also offered for graduate-level credit as ESM 585 and may be taken only once for credit.
