Ed 420 Introduction to Education and Society

Explores the nature of public education in the social context of the United States. Purpose is to develop critical ways of thinking about schools as social institutions and as a means of cultural transmission and transformation. Includes one credit (30 hour) assigned practicum in public school setting. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Ed 520 and may be taken only once for credit.
