CR 443 Nationalism and Democracy in a Post-9/11 World

Examines the rise of American nationalism in the aftermath of 9/11 and its impact on America’s relationship to the world. From a peace and conflict studies perspective, the narrative of American nationalism is investigated in contrast to the narrative of American democracy, examining implications for war and peace. Also offered for graduate-level credit as CR 543 and may be taken only once for credit.
