Fundamentals of polymers. Topics include polymer structures, molecular weights and determination, methods of polymerization including kinetics and statistics, testing and spectroscopy characterization of polymers, polymer composites and fillers, polymer reactions. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Ch 535 and may be taken only once for credit.
