Admission requirements

Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Eligible for graduate admission to Portland State University;

• Have earned a four-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or a related discipline.

• At least four years of experience in engineering or related discipline.

• Applicants who are judged to have high potential can be admitted, even if their past academic performance and length of professional experience do not fully meet the requirements.

Graduate Certificates in New Product Development, Project Management, Management of AI Transformation

Admission requirements for the ETM certificates are identical to the ETM Department’s MS program.

Ph.D in Technology Management

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Eligible for admission to Portland State University

• 3.5 graduate GPA (with at least 12 graduate credits) or cumulative 3.0 undergraduate GPA

• At least four years of experience in engineering or related discipline

• Research interests motivated by prior or current professional work in technology management.
