NAS 333 Teosinte to Maize
Corn is one of the most important and ubiquitous crops in human history, but its evolution from teosinte to the genetically modified corn of today is a complex and fascinating story. This lab and research game-based course will draw on a range of interdisciplinary perspectives, including Indigenous Traditional Ecological and Cultural Knowledge (ITECK), Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS), environmental history, environmental studies, agriculture, chemistry, genomics, and political science.
