Mus 520 Analytical Techniques

Study of advanced tonal analysis techniques through encounters with influential scholarly work in music theory. Students will read and reflect on scholarly works, practice applying techniques in guided analysis assignments, explore recent developments in music theory, and complete an analysis project on repertoire of their choice. This course may be repeated for credit.
