Mus 419 Topics in Music Theory

Examines a selected topic in music theory and analysis, with focus on a particular repertoire or analytical approach. Possible topics include rhythm, meter, and groove; analysis of popular music; analysis of jazz; analyzing music with text; analysis of music for media. Course may be taken more than once with different topic.
