G 470 Engineering Geology

Applications of geological information to engineering problems: topics may include but aren’t limited to soil mechanics, rock mechanics, construction materials, groundwater and construction, instrumentation, terrain and risk models, and landslide analysis. Four hours class time per week. Class time will include a mix of lectures, labs, and local field trips. The class will stress a quantitative approach to problem solving.
