ESHH 534 Environmental Law for Public Health

​An intensive survey course designed to familiarize students with fundamentals of environmental law and the intersections with public health from a legal, policy, scientific and conceptual perspective. This course covers the legal underpinnings and frameworks of the core environmental statutes that have the broadest intersection with public health, including the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, and National Environmental Policy Act and their regulatory and policy implications. Throughout this course, students will be exposed to environmental and climate justice, and equity impacts of environmental laws.
