ELP 552 Education Policy & Leadership

Examines education policy and leadership, focusing on governance, finance, equity, and workforce development in both K-12 and higher education contexts. Topics include the policy cycle, governance structures, funding models, enrollment trends, student activism, and equity issues related to race, immigration, gender, and LGBTQ+ inclusion. Through case studies and policy analysis, students will explore challenges in access, affordability, and institutional decision-making, gaining a deeper understanding of the evolving education policy landscape.
