ELP 520 Developmental Perspectives on Adult Learning
Theoretical perspectives on lifespan, adult learning, and professional development across school, college, non-profit, government, and business sectors. The course explores identity formation through the lenses of positionality, intersectionality, and equity regarding how multiple dimensions of the self are disenfranchised or empowered by educational, organizational, and social contexts. The goal is to identify transformational teaching and learning strategies across modalities that facilitate self-efficacy and professional agency congruent with one’s own values and work-life aspirations. Course includes an additional, concurrent 30 hour minimum field project requirement.
