Elementary Education

Elementary Education/Licensure in Elementary Education Program (LEEP)

Undergraduates enrolled in LEEP enroll in 400-level courses; graduate students enrolled in LEEP enroll in 500-level courses. The undergraduate degree incorporates all the courses required for the degree and for recommendation for licensure.

To be recommended for initial licensure, graduate Elementary Education students must complete all the courses required for the Education M.Ed. degree and the following student teaching courses:

The courses that you take and the sequence in which you take them depends on whether you are a district employee (employed by the district as either a paraeducator or instructional assistant), an intern (employed as an instructor of record), or a non-employee.

ITEP

The International Teacher Education Program is designed for students who hold teaching licenses in other countries and who are seeking an Oregon teaching license.

To be recommended for initial licensure, students must complete all the courses required for the Education M.Ed. degree and the following student teaching courses:
