SW 550 Introduction to Social Work Research

Introduction to research and evaluation as systematic inquiry in social work. Introduces knowledge and skills for critical engagement and design of research relevant to social work practice and policy, promotes social and economic justice, advances human and social well-being, and works to end racism and discrimination. It covers quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods. Addresses cultural sensitivity and inclusion, diversity, and ethical challenges, including protection of human subjects and application of research to promote social justice.
