PHE 416 Families and Aging

Family ties of middle aged and older adults are explored using a life course perspective. The diversity of family structure and experience is emphasized with attention to gender, race, class, and ethnicity. Life transitions are highlighted as are informal and formal services available to support older adults and their families. Also offered for graduate-level credit as PHE 516 and may be taken only once for credit.
