Mus 534 Choral Literature

This course offers an investigation and analysis of literature for choir of all sizes, for secular and sacred use, particularly in relation to use in public school at the junior high and high school levels and in church choir situations. A survey of the development of choral literature from c. 1400 to the present, with examples via listening and study of scores, will be included. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Mus 434 and may be taken only once for credit.
