Ling 520 Historical and Comparative Linguistics

Study of language relationships and language change. Topics include the genetic classification of languages, language and prehistory, methods of historical reconstruction, and language contact. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Ling 420 and may be taken only once for credit.
