ETM 535 Advanced Engineering Economics

Economic evaluation of engineering and R&D projects is covered from the engineering management viewpoint. Time value of money, tax considerations, break-even analysis, sensitivity analysis, project evaluations under uncertainty, risk sharing, capital budgeting, financial ratios, and cost estimating techniques are studied. A business simulation game is used throughout the course to gain a better understanding of financial decision making. Also offered as ETM 635 and may be taken only once for credit.
