Arch 442 Building Economics

Focuses on the economic and life cycle context of building design and management decisions. Topics include project life cycle, decision milestones, value analysis of design and project proforma, discounted cash flow and equivalency calculation methods, and conceptual estimating techniques for building projects. Strategic leveraging of project value is emphasized, and sustainability objectives are examined. Also offered for graduate-level credit as Arch 542 and may be taken only once for credit.
