PS 424 Law, Politics, and Society

Examines connection between law and the society which creates and enforces it. Law will be studied from bottom up rather than top down. Emphasis placed on what law is, how people use law, including whetehr access to law is equal, and how the state exercises power through law. Expected preparation: PS 221.
