SW 522 Issues in Child Welfare

Discusses the rapid change in the goals and methods of child welfare agencies, those agencies charged with the protection of children and the provision of permanency in their lives. Analysis of the formation of policy to reflect empirically based knowledge, ever changing community forces, and developing practice wisdom. Explores major issues facing child welfare services today. Develops skills for policy change.
