Ph 525 Classical Mechanics II

Advanced formulation of mechanics. Lagrange's and Hamilton's equations. The inertial tensor, free rotations, and rigid body dynamics. Theory of small oscillations, coupled oscillations and normal modes. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as Ph 425 and may be taken only once for credit.
