PS 583 Justice in the Modern World

Critical analysis of the nature and meaning of social justice. Special attention is given to liberal theories of justice, questions of distributive justice, justice and the rule of law, inter-generational justice, and political alternatives to the liberal vision of social justice. Also offered for undergraduate-level credit as PS 483 and may be taken only once for credit. Expected preparation: PS 381.
